RULE CHANGE
First a reminder - there are no coaches appeals in either the rookie or experienced divisions.
Second, the National office has established a replacement concept, the "judges' rulings / vote." This works as follows:
- A coach will be allowed to call for a "judges' ruling/vote" immediately after the Quiz Master's independent ruling and before the next question is called, a time out is granted, or the match is closed.
- A coach may only request a "judges' ruling / vote." No other comments or explanation will be allowed. If a coach does comment, the request for the ruling is lost.
- Should the Quiz Master begin with the introduction of the next question, the "judges' ruling" will not be allowed.
- To execute a "judges' ruling," all of the judges (Quiz Master, timekeeper and judge) will vote by coin without conferring. Heads for the quizzer correctly answer the prior question. Tails they incorrectly answer the prior question. After the vote, the quizmaster will announce the decision.

JBQ Theme Song
You’ve been readin’ in the Word.
You’ve been talkin’ to the LORD.
I can tell it right away.
You’ve been in it night and day.
I can tell by what you do and what you say.
Learnin’ JBQ reflects that you really care.
Listenin’ to your coach; sharing a prayer.
Thinking what it means and not just learning the words.
All this effort brings real rewards!
You’ve been readin’ in the Word.
You’ve been talkin’ to the LORD.
I can tell it right away.
You’ve been in it night and day.
I can tell by what you do and what you say.
Competition’s fun, but that’s not the goal.
Growin’ in faith, feedin’ your soul!
Study to be like Christ, what that really means.
Build this into all your routines!
